Service Project
The Walk the Walk Week Service Project invites you to give of your time and resources to address the immediate needs of the most vulnerable members of our community.
There are many ways to get involved!
Students
From November 6 through December 7, students in each residence hall are invited to donate funds to purchase supplies for basic hygiene and winter care kits to be distributed to local organizations. Student Government has assigned a fundraising goal for each hall based on number of residents. Off-campus students can donate via their former hall, and graduate and professional students have their own giving page and goal.
Students will help to assemble the kits on Saturday, January 20, 2024, and the completed kits will be distributed to organizations throughout the local community.
Every $20 raised purchases one care kit. Donations of any size make an impact and are appreciated.
Faculty and Staff
From January 2-17, 2024, please donate new or gently-used warm winter clothing, family items, and non-perishable goods for distribution by local community organizations. Dropboxes will be placed in buildings around campus. See additional information below.

All Members of the Campus Community
Volunteer with us on Saturday, January 20, in Duncan Student Center. We’ll gather to sort and package the care kits. Join us any time from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Food from Soulful Kitchen and t-shirts will be provided to volunteers while supplies last.
Basketball Donation Drive
Notre Dame Basketball fans are welcome to bring items to donate as part of the University's Walk the Walk Week donation drive for local community organizations. Items needed include winter clothing (new hats and gloves and new or lightly used coats) and family needs items (baby wipes, diapers, laundry detergent, and children’s art supplies). Donations will be collected during the Men's Basketball game against Florida State University on Saturday, January 13, and the Women's Basketball game against the University of Miami on Sunday, January 14.
This initiative is co-sponsored by Notre Dame Student Government, Campus Ministry, Procurement, and the Office of Public Affairs and Communications, in partnership with the Office of the President.
